
Adam Banks

Adam Banks is Professor of Education and, by courtesy, African and African American Studies while serving as the Faculty Director of the Program in Writing and Rhetoric and the Institute for Diversity in the Arts. His scholarship lies at the intersections of writing, rhetoric and technology issues; with specialized interests including African American rhetoric, community literacy, digital rhetorics and digital humanities. His most recent book is is a collaborative effort with Keith Gilyard, titled On African American Rhetoric, and his current book project is titled Black Intranets: Dimensions of African American Digital Rhetoric.

Carmen Thong is a PhD candidate in English and completing a MA in Public Policy at Stanford University. She works in Postcolonial/World Literature, Digital Humanities, and Cultural Policy. Her current research project looks at how literatures and authors from the Global South are “discovered” within the global literary supply chain.
